Remarks In the first half of 1901, Henri Goovaerts lived with his wife and son in Paris, where he worked on a number of copies from the Louvre, commissioned by a German merchant. In Paris Goovaerts payed 206 French francs for a half year subscription to the Académie Julian to attend the live model drawing classes in the evening. Many drawings from this period still exist. Some of these are included in this catalogue.
